Witnesses and Suspects
The āKillerā Profile
Authorities developed a general profile of the suspect based on witness accounts and forensic evidence. They believed the individual was familiar with the area, including the bridge and surrounding trailsāa local, or someone who had previously lived there. The suspect was thought to be calculated, calm, and willing to take risks. While sexual motivation was considered, it may not have been the only motive.

Bridge Guy
āBridge Guyā emerged from a Snapchat video recorded on Libby Germanās phone. The footage, though low-quality, showed a Caucasian male with thin, shaggy hair, wearing jeans and a blue coat, walking toward the girls. Audio captured him saying ādown the hill.ā Police described the suspect as a white male, aged 16ā40, between 5ā6āā5ā10ā in height, weighing 180ā200 pounds. Bridge Guy remained the primary suspect for many years.

Richard Allen
At the time of the murders, Richard Allen was a 44-year-old resident of Delphi, Indiana, married with a daughter, and employed as a pharmacy technician at CVS. Locals described him as down-to-earth and friendly, though quiet.
He became a person of interest due to his presence on the trails the day of the murders. Allen voluntarily spoke with police, providing a detailed account of his movements, including his driving route and parking locations. While he had no prior criminal record, he did have an alias, Craig Ross Rentfrow.
Ron Logan
Ron Logan, the owner of the land where the girls were found, had a history of violence, alcoholism, and deception. He was caught in discrepancies when speaking with police about his whereabouts that day. Although his phone pinged in the area, he was never investigated further. Locals considered him capable of serious wrongdoing.

Keegan Anthony Klein
Keegan Anthony Klein, 27, had ties to the Delphi area and operated an online persona, āAnthony_Shots,ā to contact and groom young girls between 2016ā2017. He posed as a wealthy, high-status figure to solicit nude images and personal information. Klein admitted to this behavior but denied involvement in Abby and Libbyās deaths. In 2020, he was charged with 20 felonies.
